10,500 Hot Stock Rules

***Hot Stock Class will follow PPL Turbo Safety Rule – (see Turbo Safety Page)

Double Cut Tires - 24.5 X 32 max size

  1. The tractor operator MUST be 16 years of age or older.

  2. The tractor must have a stock appearing block. Engines must have the right number of cylinders for the series of tractor. Cubic Inch limit to 619 CID. NO re-cast heads.

  3. Drawbar height 20 inches. Minimum drawbar length is 18 inches from center of rear axle to center of hole at point of hook.

  4. Hitching device must have a 3 X 3.5 inch hole. Drawbar MUST be a minimum of 1 (one) inch thick steel, and 1 (one) inch thick from rear edge of bar.

  5. No pressurized tanks, no oxygen, no alcohol or other fuels allowed: tractor will be checked.

  6.  All exhaust MUST exit upward and be a minimum of 18 inches above the hood line. NO rain caps or flappers.

  7. All tractors MUST be equipped with a hood, fenders and grill.

  8.  The use of torque converters and automatic shifts will be permitted during the pull.

  9. Maximum fuel injection pump shall be an A series in-line pump.

  10. Tractors may be equipped with any single staged turbocharger. Turbocharger MUST be under hood. Turbocharger plug MUST be no larger than 3.0" in diameter to be measured 2" from the compressor wheel blade. All air must go through the 3.0 turbo inlet restrictor plug.   11. Tractor MUST have the following safety equipment:

    • Fenders

    • Scatter Blanket (must cover flywheel)

    • Exhaust pipe: MUST have a Turbo Cage and (2) ½” (Grade 5) bolts in horizontal portion of the exhaust pipe as close to the turbo cage as possible. Bolts to be installed 90 degrees to each other within one inch of each other. (see turbo safety page)

    • Working kill switch

    • Side shields

    •  Ski bars

    • Tie bars

    • Wheelie bars

    • Drivers must wear a helmet

    • Must have a steel flywheel

    • Must have dead man's throttle

    • Working and approved Fire Extinguisher

    • Seat Belt (Five points harness)

    • 3 Bar Roll Cage 

    •  Full SFI Fire Suite

    • No open toed shoes 

    • Engine cable (see rule #17 for more information)

  12. Tractor is to be equipped with a wide front end. Wide front end tires must track the back tires.

13. Fuel system: one plunger per cylinder allowed only. 

14. The frame and weights MUST not extend further than 13 feet from center of rear axle.

15. Tractor Divisions: A front axle brace will be mandatory. Front axle support to be made of 2.00” X .095 tubing or 2.00” X .120 mild steel tubing or same material as tractor frame rails. Front axle supports should connect to each frame rail inline and extend towards front of tractor. Front skid/front axle support should have radius to prevent digging into track. Front axle support frame should be strong enough to support front end weight of tractor. Support should have a maximum of 4” ground clearance

16. Wheelie bars - Specifications are: 1. Pads on bottom of bars to be a minimum of 5" sq. 2. Pads to be a minimum of 32" rearward from the center of the rear-end housing. 3. Maximum of 10" off the ground. 4. Outside to outside width of pads to be a minimum of 20" 5. Wheelie bars and drawbar should not be connected in any way. 6. Bars must support weight of tractor for weight class being pulled.

17. All turbocharged engines will have one cable totally surrounding the engine block and head. The cable will consist of 3/8” diameter and located between the first and second cylinders. Cable must pass through the manifold areas. Cable will have four (4) to six (6) inches of slack. There will be a minimum of four (4) clamps at all splices.

Or

All inline turbocharged engines are required to have a cable placed between the first and second cylinder through exhaust manifold port area. Cable must be a minimum of one (1) 3/8 manufactured pendant line with a rating of at least 3000 lb or more with a tag from the manufacture that indicated the rate load capacity with swaged sockets.
